He made his debut for Arsenal against Sunderland F.C. on 21 February 2009 in the Premier League, the game ended 0–0, though Arshavin was unlucky not to score in the game against Sunderland coming close twice. Arshavin was substituted in the 61st minute for Carlos Vela. On 14 March against Blackburn Rovers, Arshavin scored his first goal in the 64th minute for Arsenal. Arshavin also assited on a goal later in the game when his shot was parried by the goal keeper to Emmanuel Eboué who got the third and fourth goal in the 4-0 victory at The Emirates.[14] Arshavin helped Arsenal win their FA Cup quarter-final match against Hull City on 18th march by passing and creating a goal for Robin Van Persie to even the score at 1-1. Arsenal were able to win the match 2-1 when William Gallas scored in the 84th minute of the game to set up a semi-final clash against Chelsea at the new Wembley Stadium on 18th April

Arsenal 4 Cardiff City 0 FA Cup Highlights

Monday, 16 February 09, 04:05 PM

more arsenal for a freind request

Eduardo scored twice in his first start for almost a year as Arsenal beat Cardiff 4-0 in the FA Cup fourth round replay. The Brazilian-born Croatia striker headed home the opener in the 20th minute, helped in the creation of the goal, feeding Carlos Vela down the left; the Mexican then chipped a delightful ball back into the box as the frontman guided his header into the corner. This second game from the spot calmly placing home a penalty he had won himself on the hour mark.

His impressive all-round display suggests he is fully recovered from the horrific leg break that kept him out for so long
The Croatian, back from a broken leg, met Carlos Vela’s cross to head home and Nicklas Bendtner - who also hit the post - headed in the second as Arsenal dominated the replay,Robin Van Persie netted and hit the post.
Arsenal will now play Burnley at the Emirates in the fifth round and if they can get revenge on the side that knocked them out of the Carling Cup they will enjoy another home tie in the quarter-finals against Hull City or Sheffield United.
