Good Afternoon. Arsenal had a fine win yesterday despite going 1 down. We seemed to suddenly realise we were in a game when they scored and there was going to be one winner only after that. After
hitting the post twice we then scored 2 quick goals from Eboue and Bendtner. It could have been more before half time but we went in 2-1 up at the break. After the break we still had chances but
our game became too narrow and we were crying out for Walcott to come on and stretch a poor Bolton defence. When he came on he did just that and his run led to the goal from Denilson. It was game
over at that stage and we went to the top of the league as Liverpool failed to beat Stoke. They really are very poor at the moment. Our old friend Kevin Davies decided that we were having things
a little too easy so he took Clichy out just before half time and we saw pictures of Clichy leaving on crutches during the half time break. Thankfully it has been confirmed that he only has
bruising on his shin and there is nothing broken. The idiotic Mark Lawrenson said that Clichy was a Jessy appearently and it just shows what he knows if he thinks that was a fair challenge.
Davies knew what he was doing in going over the top of the ball and just getting a little of the ball. He led with his studs and in my opinion it was a definite red card offence. However the F.A.
will only act when you break a player's les like Danny Guthrie did. We remember the Pantsil challenge on Eboue which the referee did nothing about and neither did the F.A. Back to the match. Even
though we did very well going forward we were still fragile at the back. The Toure & Gallas partnership doesn't work well as neither of them attack the ball and we need a ball winning centre
back. Their goal came when Gallas lost his man and Davies then had a free header to score. Almunia did well throughout and seems to be improving all the time and the youngsters in midfield all
did well. We changed the team around from the Kiev game and we still got the win without Nasri, Silvestre, Diaby, Rosicky & Eduardo. Maybe our squad isn't as thin as we think. However I would
still love a new centre half and central midfielder in an ideal world. My man of the match was surprisingly Eboue who just seems to keep improving all the time. He did very well on the right
cutting in onto his right foot and took his offside goal very well and nearly had another one. On to some other news now. The chairman has said we will never sell Cesc not ever for 100m which is
good news as he is our star player even though he has started slowly this season. We have been linked with Arda Turan of Galatasary and Ettore Mendicino of Lazio in different papers but as the
transfer window is closed it is all idle speculation. There was also more talk of Veloso not being available until the summer but who knows what value there is in any of this gossip. Our next
match is our annual one for the kids against Sheffield United in the Carling Cup on Tuesday night with reduced rates of entrance at The emirates to try to get a full house. Hopefully we will see
Vela, Ramsey, Wilshere, Randall, Simpson, Gibbs et all put up a good performance and get a win. That game will be followed by a home game against Hull in the Premier League and they have started
very well except for the Wigan game. If we are on our game we should win easily. Just over a week ago I forecast 3 wins in a week and despite the draw in Kiev I think it has been an excellent
week which has ended with us on top of the league and playing good attacking football. I also am very happy with my 3-1 forecast from yesterday as I was spot on. I think I will make this a
permanent feature but I will always forecast an Arsenal win. I watched the match in The Strand with the Wicklow Gunners and we had an up date on the club afterwards. We have arranged a 5 a side
against the local Man City supporters club for the day we play them in the league, a Christmas party and a party to celebrate our formation and acceptance by Arsenal. There is more to come too so
feel free to look up the links on the blog. That's about it for today so enjoy what's left of the weekend. I'll leave you with the highlights of yesterdays win. http://www.mightyfootball.com/ And
to finish some Music from The Ramones http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0QQLwuGtKY See you tomorrow.
