Hello, bok, bula uro, shalom, salam, namaskkaram, witaj, privet, hola, sawa dee krap, tag and ...howya.
If a week is a long time in politics then a fortnight in football is easily twice as long. It feels longer. That's what she said.
Before I completely breakdown Reggie Perrin stylee under the interminable boredom of the Interlull, there is some third hand news to impart. Modric is back in training. Now, calm laddies and lasses. He's a long way from being 'back' and you'll recall the last word was that his healing was taking longer than usual. But good news nevertheless.
Other team news includes a question mark over Aaron Lennon and news that Bassong either passed a fitness test on Friday or failed one, dependent upon who you wish to believe. Carlo Cudicini failed his audition for the White Helmets as you'll all be aware by now and it is suggested that Jimmy Walker has a wrist injury. So it will be interesting to see what happens if old Gomes has to leave the the field of play for any reason. On which note may I add I'd rather have Joe Jordan named as our reserve goalie than Ben Foster.
Scraping the news with all the gravitas of the tail item on John Craven's Newsround is Erik Edman will probably play for Wigan. Yeah, that's how I felt too when I heard the news.
And the tail item on this newsround is the Ars*nal petition HERE against the redevelopment of The Lane.
Gawd, I'm bored. Roll on three o'clock.

"sawa dee krap"
it's not that bad is it? one too many chang beers? Or was it simply a dodgy pad thai? Or perhaps, simply that you mistakenly added an extra 'r' in the last bit
There's no stopping us now. The wheels keep on turning, a new state of the art training ground, a stunning new stadium and champions league glory.
Seriously though, after this international lull, I'm gagging for 3 points and another week in the cl spots.
I was at the 1-0 loss to Wigan away last season. Freezing cold, massive queue for pies and we lost in the 90th minute.
I expect a 3-0 win at home today and nothing less.
Bassong and Lennon fit apparently.
Jimmy Kranky in midfield please, Lennon back and Defoe and Crouch up front.
3-1 and back into fourth...or I'll be really pissed off.
Glory glory.
Oh and we're not the televised game because????
Reply to Trembly:
It's not the 'r' it's the 'P' give me a 'b'
I am soooo fukin glad the interlull is over too, BIOYwC'S
Reply to Poshspur:
We can only hope but PSB has to be in there too so Kranky off the bench at the Hr is how harry seems to play it. Me too & It is over here
Re HH's last blog:
No, I am Sparticus/Harry Hotspur/Lord Lucan/The Stig.
Let`s `Ave the fucking slags,Pointy will be fucked after Wednesday
I agree that Keano should be 'rested' and The Krancj should start, but I'd suggest he step inside and have Baler out left for some attacking service for 3MP. Worth a go against Wigan, surely???
Mind you, I have a bad feeling about this game. Most of the other results this weekend have gone our way, so this is a prime moment for us to squander the opportunity by making an almighty hash of things...
Anyone know what an i t expert is ?
Reply to A_Felching:
Someone who makes nice sandwiches, cakes and pastries and washes it all down with a delicious cup of Orange Pekoe?
Oh, wait, that's a High Tea expert...
Just think, folks, if we win today by 16 clear goals we'd take 3rd spot from Ar5ena1. Now if ever there was an incentive to break records....
The interlull has at least given us space to reflect.
I now know that 47 Jaffa cakes is my limit
Reply to Danny_Blanchflower:
So what you're saying is that the one who done it was Doris...the Spurs tea lady?
Reply to Sid_Trotter:
How did you eat them? Chocolate first, then sponge and then orangey bit? Over what period of time. I think there are world records to break here...
Surprisingly, no one has advocated Jenas in the starting line up against the Wig. From reports, I thought that he was the only one who came through relatively unscathed from the international debacle. And isn't Wigan the kind of team he like to pit his wits against? Or just his nose?
Long live Lord Lucan.
Reply to Trembly:
Or Henry, the mild mannered janitor? ....Could be....
Reply to Trembly:
Didn't see the international, but from what I gleaned from reports (which I gave a desultory glance) Jenas was shit.
I agree, though, that this is the kind of game where he *can* shine. It's just too uncertain that he *will*.
If Arry plays Harold Wilson, Thudd and Jean Arse could someone put him on the first train back to Poole please.
In fact if he picks Jean Arse at all he needs medication.
Easily my favourite in that list is NAYIM FROMDEALFWAYLINE
I've just spent the last half hour wondering what happens if the accusations made by the 'I KNOW I.T. DON'T MESS' gooner on the last blog were actually, confusingly, HH masquerading as a gooner and accusing himself.
Then the universe started to implode so I stopped.
Results went for us yesterday, the only improvement could have been Villa losing. Roll on 3 oclock and a comfortable win, please
Will the players take the bull by the horns or, will they shit themselves?
That is the question.
Can't keep track of who's fit at the back, but:
Lennon, Palacios, Kranjcar, Bale
-------------Couch, Defoe
Wouldn't like to predict a score until I see what Redknapp conjures up team wise, but I'd take a 1-0 now.
Seen a few Wigan games this season and one person has stood out as a good prospect and maybe a problem to us today, Hugo Rodallega.

I don't know what these folk expect, or at least they haven't ever thought it through. It's never a clean cut case of winning or losing, but more of a 'why bother?'

To work within the parameters set down by young Harry, I am not going to be asking if there are any streams for today's match ...... though if anyone knows of any please do let me know ...there's a love
Reply to KOJAC:
Yeah, wishful thinking on my behalf. As long as he doesn't try and fit all 3 CMs and 3 strikers in we should be alright.
STARTING XI - Gomes; Corluka, Dawson, Woodgate, Assou-Ekotto; Lennon, Palacios, Huddlestone, Kranjcar; Crouch, Defoe. SUBSTITUTES - Alnwick, Hutton, Bassong, Bentley, Jenas, Pavlyuchenko, Keane.
at last we have probably our strongest 11 starting (taking into account injuries)

good, harry has made the right decision,i think
good bench if/when needed.....
Our team looks good, the only problem I can see is that we lack pace at the back which Wigan could exploit if they get enough time on the ball.

Sorry, nervous, that's all. Aren't these the games we under perform in? Or, has this seasons exploits proven that we've turned the corner and can put these sorts of teams to bed early doors.
I chuffin' well hope we spank 'em. And yes, there probably is a better way to put that.
Good streams anyone??

Need to put this one to bed nice & early I recon. Results have goen our way again, be lovely if we could nick back third place in the next couple of weeks, top four should all be taking points off each other in the next month or so, goons got a few injuries... COYS
Reply to sir alan :
Come on the Wiggers
I thought it was a great half for Spurs and it could easily be 3-0 now. Defoe off the bar and Thud just missed placing a missile in the bottom corner by inches. Despite the intense Wigan pressure on the ball, we have managed to provide ample service to Defoe, 3MP and Lennon.
There is no way they can keep up this level of pressure for another half and expect to see a lot of space open up as they wear down that we'll take advantage of.
brilliant...2-0 well done lennon and defoe...
i'll have to wait for motd...streams don't stay up long enough for me.....

Only 13 more and a clean sheet needed to have us knock the scum off 3rd place (you've got to have realistic ambitions!)
Sarge & Thudd are completely dominating the midfield. Thudd's interception led to the second goal, and Sarge and Thudd ganged up to force the turnover that Sarge followed with a brilliant pass to Defoe.

One each:
Tony Cottee " I think this will finish 1-1" that was at half time! dont you love when rival pundits get it wrong!
The Ford Football Special is just the two live games repeated I believe and MOTD2 just shows the goals! No doubt the commemorative DVD will be in the Club Shop in time for Xmas but really wouldn't mind 60 minute highlights to see tonight. Ho hum.
if anyone knows a site where you can download it,or watch the full game, then let me know....as my stream was absolute shite...
i'd like to watch it again....TA

What. A. Game!
'Arry, I know you were there, but I hope you paid attention. Look what a team with balance and width can do!

Hi Kojac, i'm at work at the moment so can't watch it till later, is that a link to a download of the game or just to watch it over the internet?
Replied to the wrong person apologies! Think my eyes have gone reading about the game on the BBC live football text thing!
What a result - i am on cloud 9, excuse the pun. Lennon and Defoe were immense, and Niko gave us the balance we needed. 1st game PSB is on the bench and we get a resultlike this - coincidence?
My mate just texted me this - quite funny for a Scouser....
What do the Wigan Athletic defence and Daniele Lloyd have in common?
Yes, they've been pounded by the whole Tottenham team!
I think the cern scientists at the LHC have discovered a parallel universe…. The one where it’s an absolute pleasure to be a Tottenham fan.
No, ifs or buts… just a mega result :-) Roll on MOTD 2

motd i cant wait!!!
Reply to traq:
I agree on all the points except one. Outside of the first goal, which any striker would have put away, all 3MP did was celebrate goals. He didn't play a part whatsoever in any of the last 8 goals. For the first time since we lost Modric, we brought back our blistering paced attack which Crouchy looks completely lost in.
Keane is much better suited for this system than 3MP, but when Luka is fit again, would it be better to start Keane or Kranjcar? Niko appears to finally be back to the level he displayed during the 2008 Euro qualifiers where he was unstoppable.
With Modric, Niko, Thudd, Sarge & Lennon across our mid, I can't see anybody shutting this attack down - although I absolutely despise the 4-5-1. Perhaps we could call it a 4-3-2-1, with Lennon & Modric playing just behind Defoe?
Now that's what I call quite good...9

I think we should skip the analysis today and just revel in an amazing victory. COYS!
Goals coming up on Sky sports 1 now
I didn't see the game today but did Daw's play the whole match?
should have scored more!
err... and the South Londoners lost this weekend. It can't get any better!!
Reply to ToniMontana:
You`re right Tone, a proper shambles we should have scored 15. Great to see Robbie`s first name on the team sheet contract has now expired
Let's not get carried away. We've got the 3 points we needed and now we have 2 tough games which could define our season. It's up to Redknapp to ground the lads ahead of Villa.
Ah, fuck it.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS NINE NINE NINE NINE NINE NINE NIIIIIIINNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Reply to toddspur:
Been reading but not had much to say. We've done quite well this season and not had too much to moan about or shout from the rooftops (especially for the last three or four games). However today for some reason I feel the need to shout from said rooftop!!!
second half goals, get the fcuk in!!!!!
It was only one nil at half time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
8 (eight)
Reply to A_Felching:
Although it'll all be about how poor Wigan were!

You see this is the problem with you Spurs fans. misguided and foolish. So now you are going to score 9 against Arsenal and M.utd and of course win the title. You really are stupid.I'll come back when they whip your ass as usual.
Reply to Wig:
Let us `ave our day in the sun you old syrup
Reply to A_Felching:
Seconded. We don't have em as often as some, don't piss on our parade for once.
Dundee beat us for the first time in 10 years, Spurs score 9 and seemingly Jedward are off the x-factor.
X-File Sunday.
Nein mein herr. Das can nicht richtig sein. Umglaublich. Schadenfreude ist eine beyatch.
Reply to Trembly:
What's that about Baywatch?
ah am very desappointed vat no one az disputed mon petit goal à la main. OK U ave marquée 9 buts but le mine waz one ov ze best & overwize we kuld not be torkin about a zen gol game, nez par?
can anyone believe the motd match report? if that had of been united, chelsea or the scum, there'd've been ten minutes of masturbation. what do we get? a couple of comments saying 'jermaine should probably be picked for england' and 'lennon did well' and then five minutes of saying how it was all erik edmans fault! that was the greatest striking performance i've ever seen by jermaine today. but still, at least there's something to complain about.
Reply to Trembly:
Eine beyatch indeed sir
Glory glory Tottenham Hotspur, nobody does it better.
Reply to A_Felching:
hey felching,
great download,thanks for that,
so did you upload that yourself then and then link us to it,
is that just a host site,or can you actually search for things to download on there,
Well I think that result was mainly down to Jean Arse staying on the bench.
Having watched that performance and reading this LINK made me feel as proud of the team as I can remember for many years. I really hope this is the catalyst for a run of consistantly fantastic performances.
Reply to KOJAC:
i just found that link on asiaplate so i'm guessing you didn't upload then,
Reply to onedavemackay:
good singing from you today ODM,must of been great to be there,
seeing bentley score for one,or just seeing bentley even....
Reply to onedavemackay:
CORRECTION The result was obviously down to the magnificent cameo performance of Jean Arse
Reply to Wig:
Oh you are a bit of a douche aren't you Wig. I'm assuming you support one of them. He was being sarcastic. Maybe you should take your finger out of your bum hole, place it in your boyfriends hole and chill out a bit instead of getting all uppity about a 'fun' comment made in context with a fantastic day for us.

"A bent broadcast"?
Is that a description of the way he takes a penalty?
The score doesn't truly reflect our dominance. Some of the finishing was abysmal. It's only because we got as many chances as we did that we happened to score the few goals we did.
Niko was incredible. Do we need Modric? Only kidding. He'll make a good impact player...
Oh right. It was only Wigan. We still beat them 9-1 and their goal shouldn't have counted.
Get the fuck in!
did anyone notice Thudds shot in the first half that fizzed past the post actually put a hole in the Mansion hoarding?!
wow 219 posts hh you are some busy mother, too keep up with all these aliases.
who were the better team ... honestly?
Still no player ratings. Tut.
