Apologies once again for the lack of blog yesterday. My head has been spinning with ideas for T-shirts from I went away to Amsterdam and knowing I didn't have to get up at 5 in the morning I
decided to get stuck in yesterday after work. Once I did, I couldn't stop. There's something about the night time that seems to make me more creative, unfortunately, with aforementioned wakey up
time during the week it doesn't leave much scope for late nights during the week. I think it was about 5am this morning when I finally pulled myself away from the laptop and went to bed.
Hopefully you'll forgive me when you see the T-shirts I've come up with.
Anyways, enough of my excuses, we have a game today against Birmingham. It seems like the whole Eduardo/Taylor/Gallas/Implosion has been covered from every conceivable angle, and even a few that
only the most twisted of minds could come up with so there's no point in rehashing it, We all know the story. And it is still a very painful one for so many well-known reasons.
Injury-wise I foolishly made the statement that we were returning from the Interlull with more players than we entered it with. Such folly!
Clichy, Vela, Eduardo, and Bendtner are out. Almunia was 50:50 after contracting what most be the most virulent of chest infections but won’t make it either, and Fabianski was supposed to be back
but has picked up a 'tweak' so Don Vito will remain in goal.
I recommended to my Man U supporting mate that if he was looking for a good bet this weekend he could do worse that Arsenal -5. I do fancy us to hit at least 6 again today, but that could just be
sleep deprivation making my mind all gooey. It'll either end 7-0 or 0-0. But do you seriously see it ending 0-0? With what we have available, I think we'll line up as such:
Mannone
Gibbs, Vermaelen, Gallas, Sagna
Song, Cesc, Diaby
Rosicky, VP, Arshavin
If you didn't notice on my blog the other day I mentioned in a comment how I was all excited about Arsenal finally releasing an iPhone app. I rushed off to the iTunes store only to find myself
totally disgusted that they were actually charging for it. The fact that it was only £2.99, such a piddly little amount, seemed to make it even worse. I threw a strop. A bit of rant about paying
for membership, ATVO, match
tickets and merchandise and now they wanted us to pay to allow them to send advertising right to our pockets no matter where we are. And that was all before I even got started on the fact that
even though I pay an ATVO subscription every month I couldn't access it with my iPhone due to compatibility issues.
I wasn't feeling the love from Arsenal, in fact, I was feeling them grabbing at what little cash I had left at a time when I feel more and more alienated from the club.
Anyway, as I expected, I calmed down and forked out the £2.99. Would it actually provide free video, or could you at least tie it in with your ATVO subscription? Yes and no. Yes they provide free
highlights, although they are not the recent ones you get on ATVO. The most latest clip was the highlights from the Blackburn game, but the quality, drool-city. If I had the choice, I'd watch
matches on my iPhone with that App instead of fighting with internet streams for Saturday 3pm's. I wonder how long it will be before that becomes an option as clubs realise they can get even more
money out of fans on a pay-per-view basis for all non-televised matches. Surely it will get to the point where the potential for revenue generated on a pay-per-view basis will become more
lucrative than the bids put in for the highlights packages. And once the bigger clubs twig that they could be getting an even bigger slice of the money-pie, I expect we'll see it come about
pretty quickly.
That was a bit of a ramble wasn’t it? Must be finally feeling the urge after not having blogged for a week or so. There's only so long that I can keep my mouth shit before the drivel just has to
spill out. But for now, I am in desperate need for coffee today.
See you all tomorrow...

My apologies, Almunia is fit....but I think Don Vito should keep his place
Leaving your reader's hanging like that is very naughty.
The dead of night always stimulates creativity but it's hell if your passion is the trumpet... or the kazoo.
I don't think I'll be getting the Arsenal app after what you've said. The only selling point would have been access to ATVO. Without it I'll make do with news feeds.
Oh well.
Oh yeah... Tommy Vermaelen first goalscorer 16/1
or Tom Roksicky @ 9/1
Enjoy today, LA.

RVP first goalscorer and Arsenal to win 7-0 - 225/1
LMAO
Reply to ClownshoeVanClubfoot:
apparently ATVO is coming to the App at some point in the near future
You will keep you mouth shit? You should really have a quick look before you publish.
Is there any chance of you making the Everton game on January 9th?

If I can get a ticket I shall be there
Can't see getting ticket being a problem, so i'll put a reminder in my phone for the day they are released, EII do you want me to see if I can get one for you at the same time? Can't see there being the same fiasco as the Spuds game...we must come up with a way of getting four seats together at some point

LMAO Garantia pointed that out, I wrote that bit in bed at about 6am with my eyes half shut...and believe it or not I proofed this morning, but that was before I was fully awake lol Did consider changing it, but thought I'd leave it for you all to laugh at
Reply to LadyArse:
I have 2 Red memberships so if they're any use let me know.
Reply to LadyArse:
Thanks for leaving it. I did get a good laugh.
Did you manage to get a good stream for the match?
Reply to LadyArse:
Yes please!
Reply to JamrockRover:
No... a crap stream here.
Only really saw the 2nd half and that was glitchy as but at least I had the ATVO commentary to fall back on.
Looking fwd to seeing the match in full... especially Arshavin's and van Persie's goals.
ps. I noticed 'mouth shit' too but didn't want to spoil it for anyone else.

I had the best stream I have ever had in my life, it was so good I was able to hook it up to my TV and you would hardly have known it was a stream. Amazing quality. I'll be posting the link to the site in tomorrow's blog as hopefully they'll have future matches. I really can't explain how fantastic it was...
Did you not geta good one? I tweeted it a few times and everyone was raving about it...but I can't take the credit, someone else sent it to me
Reply to ClownshoeVanClubfoot:
no problem
should be a walk in the park compared to the Spuds tickets and can't see there being any bother getting three, especially as everyone will be skint afer xmas
Reply to ClownshoeVanClubfoot:
Bugger, I wish I'd known that and I've have texted mine to you. My strategy for streams is to use Iraqgoals.net, justin.tv, live footie doctor, TVU player, and beg for streams on twitter...seems to work
Reply to JamrockRover:
I don't know what order I'm responding to these comments...anyway...
Do you have your Everton ticket sorted through your supporters club? If not, you could email me your membership number and surname (though I think I know that) and when I'm trying to get tickets I can try and get four together, and I'm sure we could coax EII into doing the same thing...the multi-pronged approach usually works.
Only thing I'd be worried about though is if you turned down a ticket with your supporters club and then we couldn't get them through Arsenal.com. I can't see that happening as at worst we should be able to get four seperate sears...but you never know, that could be Messi's debut game for us and it might sell out
Reply to LadyArse:
I would prefer it if you tried to get the 4 tickets together and I will mail the 2 Red memberships nos and both our names to you. I am guarenteed the ticket more or less with the supporters club but I'm perfectly prepared to take the chance and wait to get them with all of you.
Reply to JamrockRover:
You only need to send me your number unless you want me to try and get you two tickets, EII, Garantia and myself are all covered with membership cards so that's the four sorted
Reply to LadyArse:
I'll send you my number in a minute.
