A lot it seems. We all know that squad numbers 1-11 are the most coveted, but in this day and age of extended squads, if you can get yourself anywhere between 1 and 29 you're doing pretty well.
So, even though it is a special number to him, it seems rather strange that Bendtner would choose to change his number from 26 to 52. He says it is special to him, but does not elaborate, (perhaps it's the fact that it is the reverse of the 25 or double his current number which he thinks will make him twice as good, like go-faster stripes and pink boots) but does say that if you have bought his shirt from an Arsneal store or online since June 2009 he will personally pay for a new shirt with new number. So that's about six people then? I jest Nik, I jest. That's a pretty decent offer to be honest. Arsenal have a really bad photoshopped version of his new shirt on the Arsenal homepage, which is strange, when they have a whole shirt-printing factory on the premises. And besides, who can't imagine what a '52' would look like on the back of an Arsenal home shirt?
Contrary to earlier reports, it seems we haven't made a move for Subotic. Nor is Cesc going anywhere. No matter how many times El Mundo prints the story, rewrites it, or tries to make people believe that even if Barca were going to bid, that their offer of £25million would even be close to half of what would be considered an acceptable OPENING offer. It's beyond laughable.
Djourou is still injured (hokey cokey anyone?) but there's still no word as to how badly. Were we the ONLY top four team not to magic up an injury for a player away on pointless duty as the others did? And this is our reward. Typical.
But why I'm wasting any time on of the El Mundo crap, I don't know. Perhaps it's because there is sweet feck all going on at the minute, which is hopefully the last time that I will be saying that for a while as we close in on 5 games in 14 days (Everton (a), Celtic (a), Portsmouth (h), Celtic (h), Man U (a)). Guess we won't have to wait to long to get some very big answers to some very important questions.
I'm personally delighted as I managed to snag a ticket for the second leg against Celtic, flights and hotel are booked, and coming in at a total of £180 if you include the train from Stanstead, it leaves me a lot poorer, but happier. I'm sure it will be worth every over-drafted penny.
The Daily Mail is reporting that we have abandoned our efforts to sign Chamakh as we won't move from our £6million valuation. Even given the fact that the story is in the Daily Mail, I'm sure it's true and will probably result in one of three conclusions: 1. Bordeaux will panic that they will be stuck with a player in the last year of his contract who doesn't want to play for them and reduce their price significantly, 2. We'll sign him for free next year or 3. he'll sign for someone else. If he does, he does. We'll find out just how much he wants to be at Arsenal one way or the other.
And that's that. In less than 7 hours well know how many players we've lost for the opener against Everton, if not longer. One can only hope that the injury fairies have received their payment and some other team have defaulted.
Til tomorrow...

The snippet of the interview he gave to Sky the other day was very promising. I think he's a cert now. Phew!
Just a defensive midfielder to come
Hope y'all are well.

I think I figured out what that means, and I think he's some alleged Arsenal supporter who likes flat-packed furniture and missing the release of Champions League Tickets...

You may have just hit the nail on the head there.
