Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson is interested in signing Doncaster Rovers midfielder Richie Wellens for £1million.Wellens stood out in the Championship last tseason and Pearson has big plan for him in the forthcoming season. Rovers are reluctant to sell, however Wellens could well get a better deal at The Walkers Steve Bruce is looking to start afresh with his squad at Sunderland, Malbranque, Healy, Gordon, Russel Anderson, Connolly and Chopra will all be leaving and they not in the geordies plans for the premier league side. This will give the new manager and extra £15million to spend on top of the £15 million already guaranteed by chairman Quinn and the new American tycoon Ellis Short. Bruce is also sent to make a bid for Antonio Valencia from his former club Wigan Moves for Wigan boys Titus Bramble and Mario Melchiot will be completed by the end of the week for a combined fee of 5 million. Steve Bruce will also look to bring in Maik Taylor as cover to Marton Fulop and James McFadden who will be tempted by the premier league security Bruce is more likely to offer than Birmingham Chelsea are stll in the hunt to sign the Brazilian star Kaka. Reports state that the AC Milan forward has not agreed terms with Real Madrid as his high wage demands and fees are creating a stumbling block. BBC radio 5 live claimed that kaka's father was asking £10million for the deal whilst his brother was expected to receive £1million. Manchester City are chasing Barcelona forward man Samuel Eto'o and are prepared to part with £20million. The Cameroon international is set to be joining the Eastlands club along side Gareth Barry and rumours have it that Carlos Tevez will be joining too from local rivals Manchester United Chelsea are in hot pursuit of Bayern Munich player and french international Franck Ribery and are prepared to offer the asking price of £45million. David Villa currently playing his football at Spanish side Valencia is also reported to be considering a move to Stanford Bridge to join new coach Carlo Ancelotti. A transfer fee of £38million is being offred to AC Milan for the services of 19 year old rising star Alexandres Pato by Chelsea should they not try up the Kaka deal. The blues are keen on adding to their fire power up front. With Steve Bruce now installed as the new Sunderland boss he his keen on adding to his squad. Paul Scharner is being targeted from Wigan, Ryan Babel the Dutch international and Livepool player and Peter Crouch currently playing at Portsmouth are also on his wish list
