Celt's Canny Be Sheepish Against The Dons

Thursday, 15 January 09, 06:22 AM · Hailed by LordOfTheWing

The main event of the week was the fight between 'The Suits' of the BBC and Sky Sports over who would get the rights to show Celtic v Peterheid or Queens Park. They could not decide, over custard creams and tea, so they sent oot, two 14 year old office juniors, there on work experiance, to race round the Gladitorial Eliminator and first one through the foam wall won the rights to show it.

In spite of them abusing child labour laws, Sky decided that bailing oot The Huns wie a cheque for £82,500, to enusre their 'leckie gets paid was a more pressing matter, than showing Celtic.

We have also seen Walter Nosurname playing 'mind games' wie his team by telling them that playing well will see them sold. After their game against The Perth Saints, the Tarbolton Greggs and local Willie Hills can rest easy after Kris Boydchenkos performance. The credit crunch won't effect them just yet.

This week see's Celtic try to continue blowing a 7 point lead in the same amount of time it takes Ulrika Johnson to go through husbands. A trip to Aberdeen is not what we want at this time, even though we are unbeaten in oor last 7 visits to The Rhodders. A trip to anyone half decent, even at a venue we do well at, is not welcomed.

By 4pm on Sunday we could be only 2 points in front,as The Huns have a gimmie 3 points after Falkirk, secured the unsecured services of Elvis Pressley during the week, a player that makes a tug pulling a tanker up the Clyde look quick.

Aberdeen are on a decent run. W5 and L1 out of their last 6. They have only conceeded 4 goals in this run and you can bet yer bottom Euro that Tango and Sash will be oot to gie their, possible- they are a cheap option-, future employers a boost by getting one over on us.

Jimmy Calderwood, while looking like he would kill you for a sunbed and like an Uncle that would try and bed the babysitter, like Jim Jeffries, evokes the powerful emotion of wanting to stick it right up him EVERYTIME you play one of his teams. I often wonder if this emotion has sinister undertones as he has never tried to kill me in the sunbed queue or tried to bed my babysitter.

I can take or leave the flock. The Aberdeen fans are what The Huns will become in 10 years time. Living on past glories and have more chips on their shoulders than a McCain factory. You can almost feel sorry for them. Almost but not quite.

Main Sheepskelper, a sport you get medals for in the Western Isles, is Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink wie 7 goals. He said, recently fae the Hesslelink Suite at Glesga Royal: "Normally, if you have a few small injuries it is not bad. But now it is one big one which kept me out for almost two and a half months. " while comparing sicknotes wie Craig Bellamy and Paddy McCourt.

"I hope I can give Scott and Georgios competition so that we can make it a difficult choice for the gaffer and also improve the team again." he continued, safe in the knowledge that his as rusty as the Forth Road Bridge performance in the game against Dundee was enough to surpass the wannabee Greek Berbatov efforts over the last few weeks.

"I'm fresh again and almost want to eat the grass" he added in an un-Dutch manner as the Dutch usually smoke the grass, not eat it. But, maybe, eating it gives you a quicker 'high' and it does save time as you widnae have the hassle of rolling a doobie.

In an interesting, but on the other hand sad, twist to this game, their has been no goals, in the first period, in any of Celtic's last 3 away games. Both teams have scored more goals in the second period this season and Celtic lose nearly all off their goals against, 23 conceeded, in the second period. Wie, Aberdeen losing 7 goals, of their 13 lost, from 75mins onwards and we have scored 16 goals in the same period, I'm thinking, that any money that we punt should focus on the later half of the game.

So, 1-0, Hesselink, who will be on as a 2nd half sub and the goal will be scored from the 75min onwards. I'm that confident I may stick money on it.

Forza
