Germany have recently released their new home shirt for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Once
again, Adidas have manufactured this world cup jersey and it is the
traditional white colour, with a black trim. There are three lines, in gold, red and black down the left chest of the shirt (the colours of the German flag). These lines “go through” the German
badge, which is also on the left chest area. One noticeable change in the shirt is that the three black Adidas stripes appear at the bottom of both sleeves.Germany battled hard with Russia for top spot in their qualification group, but won out in the end and finished
top of the group by 4 points. They won eight of their ten games and managed to stay unbeaten throughout the qualifying period. After winning the World Cup three times and always being considered
a threat when the tournament comes around every four years, those in a Germany World Cup
shirt will once again be among the favourites to win in South Africa. Could Germany replicate their success of World Cup 1990 wearing this very traditionally
designed kit?Written by Stephen Whiteford, a sports writer who blogs about the
